We are focused on generative AI, cybersecurity, and data privacy in the workplace that will identify and share legal developments, develop practical cutting-edge advice/services for clients, generate business together and promote regional and cross-border marketing. The AI group is comprised of four regional subgroups that focus on AI issues and activities in that region and that also share information globally.
This specialty group presents an opportunity for members to know each other’s antitrust teams, exchange best practices, talk about new challenges, and strengthen the network within the ELA.
The group's vision is to provide a platform for discussion, knowledge sharing, and client development for any member, regardless of their experience, who would like to learn more and share more about this interesting and constantly evolving area of the law. This group meets quarterly.
The group was designed to provide a national/federal context for developments in the broader employment, immigration, higher education fields. Our focus is largely on the actions by and responses to the federal government – legislative, regulatory, and judicially. This group meets monthly on the second Tuesday at 4pm ET.
The Energy industry is very strong across many of our jurisdictions. The ELA wants to strike at this synergy and potential to fuel collaboration, best-practice sharing and business development opportunities among our members.

We discuss current occupational health and safety issues, government regulations, share our experiences, and help each other with OSHA matters. This group meets monthly on the 3rd Wednesday at 3pm ET.

This group consists lawyers committed to serving institutions of higher education. Its attorneys provide support and advice on a wide range of legal issues impacting higher education. This group meets monthly on the second Thursday at 4pm ET.
This group is a network for US Immigration lawyers and those interested in immigration matter to meet and discuss current issues and legislation impacting immigration lawyers and their clients.
This group focuses on all aspects of intellectual property (strategic advice, IP related agreements, litigation, etc.) including the interface between IP law and labor law. This group meets approximately every two months.
This group provides for information sharing between members about ways of conducting many types of investigations in different jurisdictions, and look for opportunities to work together on cross-border investigations. This group meets every two months on the first Tuesday at 10am ET.
Comprised of a global group and US subgroup, this group is a resource for labor and trade union lawyers to connect, network, share knowledge, and discuss key legal and industry developments. The US group meets monthly on the third Thursday at 4pm ET, and the global group meets at least twice per year.
Managing Partners of ELA member firms meet in person at ELA conferences and ELA-sponsored industry events.
This group is a valuable meeting place for those professionals responsible for marketing and business development at ELA member firms. Group members share and learn best practices for their professional development and supporting their respective firms. This group holds quarterly Marketing Meetups and meets in person at ELA regional meetings.
This specialty group offers a global forum for ELA member lawyers practicing in the branch of corporate law to share their experiences and best-practices, stay updated on relevant global events, and to serve as a resource in a professional network.
The group aims to bring together lawyers from ELA member firms who are active in all aspects of real estate law, construction law, and infrastructure development.
This specialty group is dedicated to keeping our members informed about developments in the law across the US & worldwide. Attorneys exchange ideas and strategies that have been successful for them in managing restrictive covenants, trade secrets, and employment agreements. Group meets monthly.
The Tax Advisory group meetings are designed in a very participative way, in which every participant has the opportunity to talk and sharing hot-topics of tax law and the rule/experience of its jurisdiction.
This group is intended to promote women leaders in the legal industry. The ELA started in North America but will expand and form groups in each region. Activities and meetings are open to all women, and those that identify as a woman, with a vested interest in the empowerment of women in the legal profession.
